ACADEMIC YEAR 2020-21

Here is the latest information we have regarding how the year will work in Chemistry.

Term dates

Teaching Block 2 starts on Monday 1 February. Teaching Block 1 ends on 15 January 2021 (after Christmas).

Timetables

Timetables are now available here. You may notice the extended teaching hours:

  • Monday 9am to 8pm

  • Tuesday 9am to 8pm

  • Wednesday 9am to 2pm (potentially to 6 pm)

  • Thursday 9am to 8pm

  • Friday 9am to 6pm

Online learning

Lectures and workshops are online. Tutorials and labs are (mostly) in-person.

Details about labs are below.

We've created an Online Learning page to support you using new software. The Digital Induction is available on Blackboard and the DLM.

If you're unable to attend activities in-person (e.g. if you're abroad), you need to let the University know. You should be able to work online.

Chemistry labs

FIRST YEAR

First year labs will start after Christmas.

SECOND YEAR

Labs will change after Christmas. Please check your timetable.

THIRD YEAR

Labs will change after Christmas. Please check your timetable.

Student fees

There is no change to student fees and no refunds are available.
