We work with the Careers Service to provide as much careers guidance and advice as we can for our students.
One of our event highlights is the annual Chemistry Careers Day! We run this alongside the Careers Service.
Below are a number of resources to help you in your career planning and development.
Chemistry Careers Day 2021
The Chemistry Careers Day was held on 8 March 2021 and was a fantastic opportunity for students to meet alumni from a wide variety of industries. We hope you enjoyed it and found it useful!
If you missed it, don't worry, you can watch the recording of the introductions and then follow up with any of the panellists you like using their contact details on the profiles document.
Go to the Careers Service website to log in using your University of Bristol account.
From here you’ll be able to access careers resources to learn everything you need to get career ready, watch videos on topics like CV writing, book onto live webinars to learn skills such as networking, discover opportunities to engage with employers, find jobs and internships, and have a chat with their team of advisors.
The sector guides will give you information about the sector roles and employers plus sector specific vacancy websites.
There are over 25 guides, however for chemists we recommend the following:
